Community Projects

One of the benefits of ACE is it can return revenues that exceed the cost of operating the not-for-profit organization back to its member communities.

Each community decides how these funds are used. Over the years, ACE returned more than $1,194,000 to its member communities. These funds are used to enhance the quality of life for many Nebraskans. Here’s a sample of projects made possible by ACE funds:

Albion

  • Help in funding new community swimming pool project

Ansley

  • New awnings at the community pool
  • Downtown park benches
  • Picnic tables at the city park

Arapahoe

  • Park enhancements including a drinking fountain, sidewalk and sprinkler system
  • A sound system in the local community center
  • Improvements to the community pool and ball park concession stand

Atkinson

  • Support for youth programs
  • Improvements to the community pool complex and park

Bertrand

  • Equipment for the community pool

Bridgeport

  • Park equipment

Broken Bow

  • Handi-Van used for public transportation
  • Playground equipment for the park
  • Emergency pagers for the fire department
  • Curtain for the city auditorium

Cambridge

  • New concession stand

Cozad

  • 75 new trees in city parks
  • Indoor sports/recreation/community facility

Edgar

  • Equipment for concession stand

Gibbon

  • Park improvements

Holbrook
