City of Cambridge

ACE member since 1998

Cambridge became a charter member of ACE in 1998. Since then, ACE has returned nearly $12,000 in revenue distributions to improve the community in whatever way it chooses.

ACE funds were used to help build the McKinley Park concession stand, which is used for many ballgames, including tournaments with regional teams. The concession stand is also utilized during the annual Medicine Creek Days celebration. So next time you order a warm box of popcorn, think of ACE!

“Through competition, ACE helps keep the price of natural gas as low as possible,” said Cambridge City Clerk/Treasurer Kandra Kinne.

The city, located in Furnas County in Southwest Nebraska, has more than 1,000 residents. The town was initially called Northwood, but was changed to Cambridge in 1885 after the city of Cambridge, England.
