The City of Bayard became a member community of ACE in 2001. By doing so, it said “yes” to the idea of a local control and a community-owned, not-for-profit natural gas supplier.
“ACE provides us the opportunity for lower gas prices for our city accounts and lower gas prices for our residents and businesses,” said Bayard City Clerk/Deputy Treasurer Michelle Fries. “We’ve found ACE to be more helpful in assisting customers with questions about the choice gas program than other suppliers.”
Bayard has received more than $7,400 in revenue since becoming an ACE member. Those funds have been used for the community’s general fund, which has come in handy especially during times when the fund is short funded.
