City of Bassett

ACE member since 1998

Bassett is a proud charter member community of ACE, joining the not-for-profit organization in May 1998.

Since that time, ACE has provided nearly $6,200 in revenue distribution funds to the community. Those funds have been used in the city’s general fund to be used to maintain the city’s ball fields and help pay for general maintenance costs such as lawn maintenance and painting the community pool.

“We are part of the group that first came to the gas industry to provide price competition,” said Bassett Council President Barry Frerichs. “A side benefit of ACE is that we have another avenue to network with other communities.”

Bassett continues to support its not-for-profit, community owned natural gas supplier.

“ACE provides competitive prices for gas,” said Bassett City Clerk Korla Keller, “and since it is community owned, the community does receive some dividends back.”
